Doug has been building for over 30 years. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Doug received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee and his Master of Combined Sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. After a successful entrepreneurial career in building and business development in Mississippi, Doug moved to the Northwest Florida and established Southern Hybrid Homes, the Good Samaritan Institute and Point Washington Preserve. Doug is SWMCD commissioner, past President of the Okaloosa/Walton Building Industry Association, scientist for the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance, and member of the Walton County Florida Schools accreditation /advisory committee.
